SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Stay silent. Hold a clear, legible sign (a piece of paper, cardboard, or a whiteboard) in front of the camera for 10–15 seconds.
Your sign should feature one of the following:
The Number: The total dollar amount of medical or personal debt you are carrying (e.g., "$42,500").
The Name: The name of a loved one lost because they couldn't afford care or were denied coverage.
The Status: A single word that describes your situation (e.g., "BANKRUPT," "DENIED," or "UNINSURED").
You do not have to show your face; you can hold the sign so it covers your features, or film from the shoulders down.
Ensure there is enough light on the sign so the text is easy to read in the final edit.
Simple, uncluttered backgrounds work best—think a plain wall or your front porch.
